Amy Farrar was appointed by the Murfreesboro City Council

Amy Farrar was appointed by the Murfreesboro City Council to serve on the newly formed Community Investment Study Group along with former State Senator Andy Womack; Bob Mifflin, former banker and executive director of the Christy-Houston Foundation; and Eric Meriwether, a financial advisor at Northwestern Mutual.

They will serve alongside City Councilman Rick LaLance, who’s also an investment adviser and vice president with Pinnacle Financial Partners. The group will offer recommendations and advice on the handling, disposition, and structure of the mechanisms for management of the proceeds amounting to $302.4 million from last year’s sale of Murfreesboro Electric Department to Middle Tennessee Electric. Payments to the city are spread over 15 years.
