Administrative Assistant

Vicki Horn is an administrative assistant with a wealth of experience working with older adults. Originally from south Alabama, Vicki moved to Tennessee when she was ten years old. She graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a bachelor’s degree in mass communications, with minors in psychology and English. She has been in and around Murfreesboro ever since.

Vicki went to work for the State of Tennessee soon after graduation from college and worked in the social services field for 30 years. The last 17 years of her tenure with the State were spent in the Adult Protective Services program, which investigates abuse, neglect, and exploitation of the elderly and disabled. She began as an investigator and retired in 2021 as the Director of Field Operations. Working in that program, Vicki developed a unique comprehension and appreciation of the challenges, both physical and mental, that occur with aging. Vicki’s experience working with older adults serves clients well. She is a people person and enjoys meeting and interacting with others.

Vicki has two adult children, with whom she is close. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, walking, bicycling, reading, cooking, gardening, and traveling.
